Bernard Hopkins Weighs in on Manny Pacquiaos Upcoming Clash with Mario Barrios

The oldest former world champion in boxing history, Bernard Hopkins, has commented on the upcoming match between former eight-division champion, 46-year-old Filipino Manny Pacquiao, and current WBC welterweight titleholder Mario Barrios.

«Pacquiao possesses the speed and experience needed to create an upset. I’m rooting for Manny because I believe if anyone can pull this off, it’s him. I consider Barrios to be a B+ level boxer. Yes, Pacquiao has considerable mileage, and he carries political and mental burdens, but he still has the speed and experience to make it happen. Furthermore, Manny could win by decision. There won’t be a knockout,» said Hopkins, as reported by The Ring.

As a reminder, the fight between Pacquiao and Barrios is scheduled for July 19 in the United States.
