Carlos Alcaraz: Focused on Enjoying Tennis, Not Just Winning at Wimbledon

The world’s second-ranked player, Spanish tennis star Carlos Alcaraz, has stated that he is not focused on extending his winning streak at Wimbledon or on the results; instead, he aims to enjoy the game of tennis.

On July 11, Alcaraz triumphed over the fifth-ranked American player, Taylor Fritz, in the semi-finals of Wimbledon 2024, with a score of 6-4, 5-7, 6-3, 7-6 (8-6). Previously, he had won both Wimbledon 2023 and Wimbledon 2024.

«I’m not thinking about a winning streak or outcomes. This is my dream, and I want to bring joy to the court,» Alcaraz shared during a post-match interview.

Currently, the rivalry between Novak Djokovic and Jannik Sinner is one of the most thrilling in the tour. As a huge tennis fan, I will try to watch as much as I can,» he added.

Carlos Alcaraz will compete for his third consecutive Wimbledon title against the winner of the match between Jannik Sinner (Italy) and Novak Djokovic (Serbia).
