Chip Ganassi Affirms Alex Palous Commitment to IndyCar, Dismisses 2026 Red Bull Move

During a Zoom conference, **Chip Ganassi** announced that **[Alex Palou](https://www.example.com/tags/33913-aleks-palou/)** will remain in IndyCar and will not move to Formula 1 for a contract with Red Bull.

“We have no other expectations. Alex had an opportunity to leave, but he chose not to,” Ganassi stated, as reported by insider Marshall Pruett.

Alex Palou is a Spanish racing driver and a four-time IndyCar champion, clinching titles in 2021, 2023, 2024, and 2025. He has been racing for Chip Ganassi Racing since 2021. In 2025, Palou achieved his first-ever victory at the Indianapolis 500. His attempt to transition to Formula 1 with McLaren in 2022 ended in a legal dispute, after which he decided to stay with Chip Ganassi Racing.
