CSKA Fights Back from 0-2 Deficit to Claim Victory Over Shanghai Dragons

Today, January 9, the regular season match of the Kontinental Hockey League concluded in Moscow, where the home team, CSKA, faced off against the Shanghai Dragons. The game, held at the CSKA Arena, ended with a victory for the hosts, who won 3-2.

The first goal of the match came in the eighth minute from Shanghai Dragons’ defenseman Jake Bischoff. Just six minutes later, forward Nate Suezis extended the lead for the Chinese team. CSKA’s forward Maxim Sorkin managed to score one back in the 33rd minute, followed by his teammate Prokhor Poltapov leveling the score at 40 minutes. Finally, with just two minutes left in the game, Poltapov scored again, securing the win for CSKA with his second goal and finishing the match at 3-2.

In the current season of the Kontinental Hockey League, CSKA has played 45 games, collecting a total of 52 points, which places them fifth in the Western Conference standings. Meanwhile, the Shanghai Dragons are in ninth place in the West, having accumulated 43 points from 43 matches.
