Dillon Dubes AHL Deal with Springfield Nears Amid Controversy

NHL insider Frank Seravalli reported that former Dinamo Minsk forward Dillon Dube is close to finalizing a contract with the AHL’s Springfield Thunderbirds, which serve as the affiliate for the St. Louis Blues.

«I’ve heard about Dillon Dube’s plans to sign a deal with Springfield in the AHL. Dube was one of five players from Canada’s junior national team who were cleared in July of allegations related to a sexual assault that took place in London, Ontario, in 2018,» Seravalli shared on social media.

The 27-year-old Dube spent last season in the Kontinental Hockey League playing for Dinamo Minsk. The Canadian forward appeared in 46 games, including playoffs, and recorded a total of 11 points (4 goals and 7 assists).
