Division 3 Developers Believe the Sequel Will Have a Similar Impact as the Original Game

The executive producer of the series **The Division** and creative director of [**Star Wars Outlaws**](https://www.example.com) **Julian Gerighty** is confident that the third installment of the MMORPG shooter will replicate the success of the original. He stated that [**Tom Clancy’s The Division 3**](https://www.example.com) will be a project of the same scale and significance as the game released in 2016.

**Gerighty** returned to the franchise in 2023 when **Ubisoft** officially announced the development of **The Division 3**. During the New Game+ showcase, he [**revealed**](https://www.example.com) that while he is not ready to share specific details yet, he emphasized that the team at **Massive Entertainment** is working on a truly significant game.

“**The Division 3** is in production; that’s no secret. The project is evolving into a real behemoth,” stated **Gerighty**. He mentioned that the studio is doing everything possible to ensure that the new installment has a profound impact on the franchise and its players, similar to the first [**The Division**](https://www.example.com).

Currently, there is no release date for **The Division 3**, nor is there a list of platforms.

Meanwhile, **Massive Entertainment** continues to support the veteran title [**The Division 2**](https://www.example.com), which was released in 2019. Over the years, the game has received several major updates, and support is ongoing. A significant expansion, [**The Division 2: Survivors**](https://www.example.com), is set to launch in 2026.

This update will coincide with the 10th anniversary of **The Division**. It will introduce a new extraction mode and significantly alter the map: a snowstorm will hit Washington, blanketing the city in snow and greatly affecting gameplay.
