The 2021 US Open champion and currently the 14th ranked player in the world, Russian tennis player **[Daniil Medvedev](https://example.com)**, shared insights about his condition following the ATP 250 tournament in Almaty, Kazakhstan. In the finals of the event, Medvedev triumphed over French player **Corentin Moutet** with a score of 7-5, 4-6, 6-3.

**– During the tournament in Almaty, Karen practiced with you, and you expressed some concerns about your health and back. How are you feeling now? How’s your back?**
– I’m feeling great at the moment. Just a day before I practiced with Karen, I trained with Mikkelsen, and after playing for 20 minutes, I could barely walk.

I experienced something similar in Miami where I just couldn’t move and lost to Munar. Against Walton, the first set was quite close. When he played to the sides, especially to my forehand, it was tough for me, but I managed to pull through. Luckily, the altitude and fast courts worked in my favor, allowing me to win the first set thanks to my serve. After that, I felt better, and from the semifinal onward, I had no issues at all. I feel wonderful now, – Medvedev stated in an interview with «Bolshoi!».
