FIS Grants Russian Paralympians Full Access to Competitions with Flag and Anthem

The International Ski Federation (FIS) has permitted Russian Paralympians to compete while representing their flag and anthem.

«FIS is obligated to allow Russian para-athletes to participate in all FIS tournaments under the same conditions recommended by the International Paralympic Committee (IPC),» meaning without applying the AIN status.

FIS has acknowledged the updated ruling from the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) and confirms its readiness to undertake the necessary organizational actions for its implementation,» stated a release on the official website.

It’s worth noting that in September 2025, the IPC officially reinstated the Russian Paralympic Committee after a lengthy ban due to the situation in Ukraine.
