Genshin Impact Anime Still on Track as Developers Reassure Fans

An anime adaptation based on Genshin Impact was announced back in 2022, but since then, there have been no updates regarding the adaptation. One might think that the project is in limbo, much like the promised port for Nintendo Switch; however, HoYoverse reassures fans that everything is fine with the anime.

The adaptation is being produced by the studio ufotable, known for creating beloved anime like Fate/Zero and Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. Recently, the team has been busy working on feature films related to “Demon Slayer”, and in July 2025, it was reported that due to their heavy workload, some staff from other projects were redirected to work on the “Demon Slayer” films. This caused concern among Genshin Impact fans who worried this would delay the anime premiere even further.

Nevertheless, a combat system designer for Genshin Impact, known as Aquaria, assured the community that the production of the anime is progressing as planned and is not facing any issues. The developer emphasized that the adaptation is intended to be a long-term project and requested fans not to worry.

Additionally, last week, HoYoverse held a special stream for version Luna IV, titled “If on a winter’s night a traveler”. Key details about the patch include:

The game will be updated to the new version on January 14. Genshin Impact is available on PC, PlayStation, Xbox Series, and mobile devices with Russian subtitles.
