Greeces World Cup Dreams Shattered After Defeat to Denmark

The Greek national team suffered a defeat against Denmark, losing 1-3 in the fourth round of the European qualifying stage for the 2026 World Cup. As a result, Greece’s chances of qualifying for the global tournament have diminished.

After four matches, Greece holds the third position in Group C with three points, two rounds remaining in the qualifying cycle, while both Denmark and Scotland sit at 10 points.

Earlier in the 2026 World Cup qualifying round, Greece achieved a victory over Belarus (5-1), but lost to Denmark (0-3) and Scotland (1-3). In the upcoming matches, the Greeks will face Scotland at home on November 15 and then travel to play against Belarus on November 18.
