The 38th ranked player in the world, Bulgarian tennis player Grigor Dimitrov, advanced to the second round of the Masters tournament in Paris, France. In his opening match, he defeated the French player Giovanni Mpetchi Perricard (ranked 56th) with a score of 7:6 (7:5), 6:1.

For Dimitrov, this Masters event in Paris marked his first appearance since Wimbledon 2025, where he sustained an injury during his match against Italian player Jannik Sinner in the quarterfinals. In London, Grigor had a 2-0 lead in sets but was forced to retire in the third set (6:3, 7:5, 2:2 — withdrawal).
