How FC Krasnodar Built a High-Level Training Base Before Joining the Professional League

The first goalkeeper in the history of FC Krasnodar and former head coach, **Dmitry Klimov**, reminisced about the conditions and infrastructure of the club during its inaugural season in professional football back in 2008.

**— Did Galitsky believe in 2008 that he would reach great heights in football?**
— I’m not sure how much he believed, but he was certainly taking steps towards it. The club’s facilities in 2008 were already of the highest calibre — I think many teams in the RPL still lack what we had back then. The training pitches were fantastic, and there were excellent gyms and a medical block. The only thing missing was a home stadium — we played at «Trud,» but that wasn’t a big issue. At that time, I think the club’s management was still learning how to navigate the football world, including how to build relationships with players and coaches. Now, I believe they have honed their skills and grasped all the nuances involved.

FC Krasnodar was established on February 22, 2008. In the most recent season, the team won the Russian Championship gold medals for the first time in its history.
