Krafton Secures Publishing Rights for Hi-Fi Rush Following Transition Completion

The South Korean company Krafton has acquired the publishing rights to the popular rhythm action game Hi-Fi Rush. It’s worth noting that despite the game’s success, the studio behind it, Tango Gameworks, faced layoffs by Microsoft in May 2024, but investors from Krafton stepped in to save the developers from closure. Since then, the company has been working on securing all rights to Hi-Fi Rush, a process that was completed this morning.

The final changes will take effect on December 4, when the game will receive a special update. Notably, this update will remove the connection to Bethesda.net and any references to Microsoft as the publisher.

Under the umbrella of Krafton, the team at Tango Gameworks plans not only to expand the Hi-Fi Rush series but also to create new franchises. Unfortunately, they will not be able to continue working on The Evil Within or Ghostwire: Tokyo, as the rights to those titles remain with Microsoft.
