Kulich: Dynamo Will Approach Match Against Rostov with Renewed Confidence and Determination

Former coach of Dynamo, **[Alexander Kulchiy](https://www.example.com/tags/2166-kulchij/)**, shared his thoughts on the upcoming match between Dynamo and Rostov, scheduled for Saturday, July 26, as part of the second round of the Russian Premier League. The game will take place at the VTB Arena – Central Dynamo Stadium named after Lev Yashin in Moscow.

«In the first round, Rostov played really well, but it’s clear that Zenit has Brazilian players and top-tier performers. There’s a significant difference between how Valery Karpin operates at Rostov and at Dynamo, where the pressure is much greater. This will be an intriguing match, especially with Karpin facing his former team.

It’s worth noting that Baltika had a strong showing in the first round, particularly in the first half. They pressured Dynamo effectively, denying them space and time to think. Dynamo struggled initially, but thanks to some excellent individual performances, they managed to equalize. It’s just the first round—there’s an air of anticipation and pressure. I believe Dynamo will perform well, especially since they will face Rostov with a different mindset and enthusiasm,» Kulchiy mentioned in an interview with Championship correspondent Alexander Ershov.

In the opening round of the Russian Championship, Karpin’s team played to a 1-1 draw against Kaliningrad’s Baltika, while the yellow-blues fell to Saint Petersburg’s Zenit 1-2. Head coach Valery Karpin left Rostov in February 2025.
