Major Update for FBC: Firebreak Delayed Until January with Exciting New Mode Revealed

The cooperative shooter  FBC: Firebreak has introduced a cross-platform voice chat feature. Alongside this, a major update called Rogue Protocol was expected to launch, but Remedy has decided to delay its release.

According to the developers, the update needs more time to ensure everything is polished, balanced, and worthy of players’ attention. As a result, the update is now scheduled for January 2026.

To appease the community, Remedy revealed details about a new game mode that will be added with Rogue Protocol. This mode is named Endless Shift.

The influence of the Noises over the Elder House is growing, threatening to bring whole sectors crashing down. In these perilous, infected zones, corruption causes chaotic distortions that are unstoppable. Members of the Firebreak squad must venture into these «sealed arenas» and do their best to withstand the onslaught of hostile forces for as long as possible.

Players will need to fend off waves of enemies, with each wave being tougher than the last. They will begin the battle with only the bare essentials, but with each victory, they will accumulate corruption points that can be spent on upgrades and weapons. Endless Shift will offer exclusive rewards that can be used in other game modes.

FBC: Firebreak is available on PC (Steam, Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series, with a Russian text localization. The game is also included in Game Pass and PlayStation Plus subscriptions.
