Morocco Triumphs Over Nigeria in Penalty Shootout to Reach Africa Cup Final

On the night of January 14-15, the semifinal match of the Africa Cup of Nations concluded, featuring the teams of Nigeria and the host nation Morocco. The match took place at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat, Morocco. Both regulation and extra time ended in a goalless draw, but the Moroccan team triumphed in the penalty shootout with a score of 4-2.

The decisive penalty was taken by forward Youssef En-Nesyri.

In the tournament final, Morocco will face the national team of Senegal, which earlier defeated Egypt 1-0 in another semifinal match. The bronze medal match is scheduled for January 17, while the final will take place the following day on January 18.
