Obsidian Unveils Preload for The Outer Worlds 2 — Game Size Approximately 80 GB

No more delays—Obsidian Entertainment has officially opened the preload for The Outer Worlds 2. Players can now download the game in advance on Xbox Series and PC (exclusive to the Xbox app). However, the preload option has not been made available for Sony users.

The console version is 79.5 GB, while the PC version requires 77.3 GB. This, of course, doesn’t account for any potential day-one patches. It’s also important to remember that with the Xbox Play Anywhere service, purchasing a single digital copy of The Outer Worlds 2 grants access on both Microsoft consoles and PCs.

It seems that the game has already «gone gold,» although the developers haven’t made an official announcement. Final reviews from various publications are expected to roll out in the next couple of weeks.

The Outer Worlds 2 is set to launch on October 29 on PC (Steam, Battle.net), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series, as well as in the Game Pass Ultimate library. Russian text localization is available. Those who pre-order the premium edition will receive early access to the game five days before its official release.
