Of Ash and Steel Set to Release on November 6 — Demo Available Now on Steam

Employees of the Russian studio **Fire & Frost** have officially announced the release date for their debut action RPG, **Of Ash and Steel**, previously known as **Greyshaft**. The game will be launched in three weeks, on November 6. Currently, players can try a demo version in celebration of the Autumn **“Games to Play”** festival on Steam.

In this free demo, the developers invite players to experience the initial chapters along with the «Arena Master» mode, which allows seasoned fighters to test their skills. **Of Ash and Steel** is presented as a third-person fantasy RPG reminiscent of **Gothic**, featuring a relatively small, yet content-rich island available for exploration.

Players will assume the role of a cartographer named Tristan, who arrives on Greyshaft in search of adventure. Throughout the game, players will encounter a diverse range of characters and will have to choose between two main factions and three guilds.

Gameplay in **Of Ash and Steel** focuses on world exploration and creating varied builds for the protagonist. There are also side activities such as fishing, hunting, crafting, and stealing. To maintain a sense of discovery, the developers have opted to omit markers on quests, allowing players to forge their own paths.

As of now, **Of Ash and Steel** is announced solely for PC on [Steam](https://store.steampowered.com/app/2893820/Of_Ash_and_Steel/) and will feature complete Russian voice acting.
