Original Red Dead Redemption Rated for PS5, Xbox Series, and Switch 2: Whats Next?

A little over a year ago, **Rockstar** launched the PC version of the original Red Dead Redemption, and it seems that the story of the game is far from over, as it has unexpectedly received an age rating from the ESRB for new platforms, including PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and Nintendo Switch 2.

It appears that **Rockstar** is working on yet-to-be-announced native versions for current-generation consoles. It is reasonable to assume that these versions will offer enhanced performance compared to the long-available ports for PS4, Xbox One, and the original Switch.

In addition to a potential increase in frame rates, the developers are likely to implement other enhancements, similar to what was seen in the PC version. To date, the latest iteration of **Red Dead Redemption** offers support for ultrawide monitors with a 32:9 aspect ratio and native 4K resolution with refresh rates of up to 144Hz. Regardless, players will have to wait for an official announcement.

Meanwhile, gamers are left speculating whether Red Dead Redemption II will finally receive the long-awaited next-gen patch, as rumors about it have been circulating for quite some time.
