Quantic Dream Expands Horizons with New Competitive Game Alongside Star Wars Eclipse

After a long period of radio silence, the creators of Heavy Rain and Detroit: Become Human from Quantic Dream have resurfaced. In today’s blog post, studio head David Cage announced that the team is not only working on Star Wars Eclipse but is also developing at least one more project.

Cage mentioned that Quantic Dream has long been moving towards becoming a «multi-project» studio. Since 2018, the staff has doubled, a new office has been opened in Montreal, the headquarters has relocated to Paris, and they have continued to advance their own gaming technologies. Additionally, Quantic Dream has become an independent publisher.

As a result, teams are now preparing several games, including a less conventional title for Quantic Dream—a multiplayer competitive game. Cage emphasized that this title is «born from the same spirit of curiosity and creativity» that has always been a hallmark of Quantic Dream.

The studio head also took the time to mention Star Wars Eclipse. He reassured fans that development on the game is ongoing, and he is eager to share more details in the future. This project was announced in 2021, and little information has been revealed since then.
