Rahimov Discusses Rubins Standing in the RPL Table After First Round

The head coach of Rubin, Rashid Rakhimov, shared his thoughts on the current standings of his team. At this moment, the Kazan club sits in seventh place in the Russian Premier League with 20 points to their name.

«We’re positioned where we should be. However, I believe we should be higher because maintaining stability is crucial for us. Nonetheless, as you can see, we are facing certain challenges with our squad. We are missing Shvets, whom we brought in, and Vuyachich is unavailable, while Maldonado is still recovering. In today’s game, we had two players from the youth national team in central defense, one of whom is a product of our academy. Therefore, we do have specific issues, but the players are giving their all and pushing themselves to the limit. There is determination and spirit; that spirit needs to be preserved. When you possess that spirit, you will always find a way out of any situation, even when you’re hanging by a thread,” Rakhimov stated at the press conference.
