Referee Fedotov Analyzes Abrosimovs Decisions in Lokomotiv vs. CSKA Match

Former referee of the Russian Premier League, **[Igor Fedotov](https://example.com)**, shared his thoughts on the officiating of **Ivan Abrosimov** during the 12th round match between Moscow’s «Lokomotiv» and CSKA, which ended in a 3-0 victory for the railwaymen.

“It was a challenging game for Abrosimov. The key issue here revolves around two instances where the ball hit Montes’s hand. The referee needed to quickly determine if a foul occurred. In the first instance, Montes pulled his arm down and back—essentially doing everything possible to avoid contact. That doesn’t warrant a penalty kick. In the second situation, the ball struck his outstretched arm after ricocheting off Diveev. Montes was attempting to clear the ball, and the opponent was very close to him. To me, those are typical actions in the context of clearing the ball. There’s not much more to evaluate here. Abrosimov handled it well, and his positioning allowed him to make the right call. VAR also reviewed the situation and didn’t intervene,” Fedotov stated in an interview with Championship correspondent Mikhail Rozhdestvensky.
