RFS Disciplinary Committee Penalties Imposed on Spartak and CSKA After Matchday 16 Clash

The head of the Disciplinary Committee of the Russian Football Union (RFC), **[Arthur Grigoryants](#)**, announced that both Spartak and CSKA have been fined following their match in the 16th round of the Mir RPL, where Spartak secured a 1-0 victory. The sanctions were imposed due to offensive chants from the fans and a brawl that occurred after the game.

«Representatives from Spartak were present, including the head of security, a lawyer, and the individual responsible for fan engagement. Representatives of CSKA also attended. They reviewed the decisions made by the judicial authorities regarding the instigators, analyzed video footage, determined the club affiliation of the fan who initiated the conflict, and confirmed he was a CSKA supporter. The fan chanting was also examined, and all the circumstances of the case were taken into account.

The penalties are as follows: Spartak has been fined ₽800,000 for failing to ensure safety, which led to a disturbance of public order that jeopardized the safety of those in the stadium, as well as for the improper actions of the spectators. Additionally, Spartak will incur a fine of ₽200,000 for the chanting of profanity and offensive language by its supporters.

CSKA will face a penalty of ₽200,000 for the wrongful actions of one of its fans and a further fine of ₽20,000 for the use of inappropriate expressions during chants,» Grigoryants explained, as reported by Match TV.
