Russian Basketball Federation Focuses on Young Talents During Suspension of National Teams

The Secretary General and Executive Director of the Russian Basketball Federation (RFB), **Vladimir Dyachok**, stated that the organization is focusing on developing talented young players during the period when national teams are suspended from international tournaments. He mentioned several promising basketball players.

«We have a fantastic group of young talents that we are nurturing within our national teams’ framework. For instance, Ilya Ermakov has shown exceptional performance in the Super League at just 17 years old and made it into the strongest starting five before moving on to the National Collegiate Athletic Association. Additionally, there’s Vladislav Goldin, who is currently with Miami on a two-way contract, and we are hopeful he will make an impact in the G-League and appear on the main roster. Viktor Lakhin has also joined the G-League under the Oklahoma system.

Right now, we have the opportunity to focus specifically on our young players. While we are sidelined from international competitions, we can scout our immediate reserves, bring them to training camps, and arrange international matches,» – quotes Vladimir Dyachok as reported by RIA Novosti.
