Second DLC for Star Wars Outlaws Officially Announced for April 18, Teaser Released

Ubisoft has announced that the second story expansion for Star Wars Outlaws, titled A Pirate’s Fortune, will be officially unveiled at the Star Wars Celebration festival in Japan on April 18. A teaser image has also been shared on the game’s social media channels.

While fans await more details, the developers have sparked interest with a teaser featuring none other than Hondo Ohnaka, a legendary pirate well-known from The Clone Wars.

According to previously released plans, A Pirate’s Fortune is set to launch this spring, focusing on Kay Vess, whose reputation leads her to cross paths with Hondo. He needs to settle old scores with a gang of pirates, and the description suggests a mix of intrigue, betrayal, and, of course, space shootouts.

To recap, the plot of the first DLC, Wild Card, revolves around a sabacc card game tournament and a casino heist. Vess is forced to participate in this tournament, where she encounters Lando Calrissian, who becomes her ally.

Despite receiving a rather «cold» reception during its launch, Ubisoft continues to actively develop the game. Impressively, it now holds «mostly positive» reviews on Steam. Since August 2024, five major patches have been released, which include AI improvements and enhanced facial animations in dialogues. The latest update, 1.5.1, released in February, introduced DLSS 4 support on PC, along with optimizations for PSSR technology for PlayStation 5 Pro users.

Star Wars Outlaws is available on PC through the Epic Games Store, Steam, and Ubisoft Connect, as well as on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series, including the Ubisoft+ subscription. Subtitles are available in Russian.
