Severe Weather Alert Issued for Las Vegas Ahead of F1 Grand Prix Weekend

The National Weather Service has issued a flood warning for Las Vegas just days ahead of the Formula 1 Grand Prix. Forecasts indicate that heavy rainfall and the possibility of thunderstorms will persist until Wednesday morning, local time, as reported by Racing News 365.

Despite the adverse weather leading up to the weekend, the races themselves may remain unaffected. There is a 30% chance of rain during the first practice session on Thursday; however, both qualifying and the race on Saturday and Sunday are expected to occur under dry conditions.

For McLaren driver Lando Norris, this presents an opportunity to solidify his lead in the championship standings. The British racer is currently ahead of his teammate Oscar Piastri by 24 points and has a 49-point advantage over Red Bull’s Max Verstappen.
