Siharulidze: ISU Council to Review Inclusion of Russian Juniors in Competitions

The President of the Russian Figure Skating Federation (FFKKR), **[Anton Sikharulidze]()**, commented on the potential inclusion of Russian figure skaters in international competitions. A final decision will be made following a meeting of the International Skating Union (ISU).

«As soon as we received the information that the **[IOC]()** recommended international federations to allow Russian and Belarusian juniors to compete with their flag and anthem, we immediately reached out to the ISU. We sent an official letter highlighting the IOC’s positive decision and expressed our eagerness to participate in any junior competitions starting tomorrow. The ISU responded that this matter would be addressed at the upcoming council meeting. The wait isn’t too long, and we hope there will be a decision made concerning the full participation of Russian juniors in the competitions,» Sikharulidze stated in an interview with «RIA Novosti.»

Reminder: On December 11, the Executive Board of the **[IOC]()** recommended lifting restrictions on the participation of athletes from Russia and Belarus in global youth competitions.
