Stream Finance временно остановил операции после колоссальной потери активов в $93 млн Translation: Stream Finance Temporarily Halts Operations After Massive Asset Loss of $93 Million

The DeFi protocol Stream Finance has temporarily halted withdrawals and the acceptance of deposits after an external fund manager reported a loss of assets amounting to $93 million.

In a statement, the team has engaged specialists from the law firm Perkins Coie LLP to investigate the incident. The platform does not intend to resume operations until the reasons for the losses are identified and the extent of the situation is accurately assessed.

«We are actively withdrawing all liquid assets and expect this process to be completed soon,» the developers added.

Peckshield noted the loss of peg for the Staked Stream USD token (xUSD).

Over the past month, the token had consistently traded around $1.26, reaching a historical high of $1.29 on October 10 (CoinGecko).

On November 4, the price dropped to a record low of $0.30. Following this, the xUSD rate recovered to approximately $0.37, with a market capitalization of $117.8 million.

The total value locked in Stream Finance decreased from nearly $204 million at the end of October to about $98 million (DeFi Llama).

The protocol offers users the opportunity for yield farming through access to market-making services and delta-neutral strategies. The operations are focused on trading via DEX and DeFi solutions.

As a reminder, on November 3, the decentralized protocol Balancer lost $128 million in assets due to a hack.
