Struggling Champions: FC Krasnodar Faces Early Season Woes with Three Losses in Four Matches

The loss in the first round of the group stage of the Path of the RPL in the Fonbet Russian Cup against Kryl’ya Sovetov (1:2) marked the third defeat for FC Krasnodar in four matches at the start of the current season.

Earlier, Murad Musayev’s team faced a setback against Lokomotiv in the second round of the Russian Premier League, losing 1:2. On July 12, the Bulls fell to CSKA Moscow in the Russian Super Cup match (0:1).

The only victory for the reigning Russian champions so far this season came in the first round of the RPL against Pari NN, where they triumphed over the Nizhny Novgorod club with a commanding score of 3:0.

Last season, FC Krasnodar clinched the Russian championship, accumulating 67 points over 30 rounds.
