The Rogue Prince of Persia Leaps onto Both Switch Consoles on December 16th

Ubisoft and Evil Empire have released a trailer for  The Rogue Prince of Persia, revealing the launch date for the game on Switch and Switch 2. This roguelite platformer will arrive on these new platforms on December 16.

The Nintendo console versions are optimized for both handheld and docked play. The release features all content from version 1.0, including various biomes, weapons, medallions, and updated artwork. Players can look forward to smooth combat, dynamic parkour, and a rich story of redemption, available wherever they are.

To recap, in The Rogue Prince of Persia, players will embody the hero of a legend about a prince spared by death, who returns to the world of the living after each demise. The protagonist uses this mercy to amend past mistakes and save Persia, carving his path with blades and parkour.

The Rogue Prince of Persia launched in early access for PC in spring 2024. A full release took place in August 2025 on Steam, Epic Games Store, Microsoft Store, Ubisoft Store, as well as on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series. The game is also available through subscription services like Game Pass and PlayStation Plus, with a text translation available in Russian.

On April 10, physical editions of The Rogue Prince of Persia for PlayStation 5, Switch, and Switch 2 will go on sale in two versions: standard and the Immortal edition. The latter includes the game along with a double-sided poster, a card set, and a steelbook. Pre-orders will begin on November 14.
