The Witcher IV to Have a Minimal Presence at The Game Awards 2025

The upcoming The Game Awards ceremony is expected to feature several high-profile premieres. However, fans of **The Witcher** won’t be as fortunate this time—according to **CDPR** CEO **Michał Nowakowski**, **The Witcher IV** will only be present as a nominated title.

In a post on social media platform X, Nowakowski expressed his excitement about the new **The Witcher** being listed among the most anticipated releases, but also cautioned that there will be no fresh gameplay footage showcased at TGA.

This isn’t particularly surprising, as the RPG centered around Ciri is not expected to launch any earlier than 2027. Nevertheless, the development of the game is proceeding at full speed—recent **CD Projekt** financial reports indicate that 447 people are working on the project.

As a reminder, The Game Awards this year will kick off on December 12 at 03:30 Moscow time. It has already been announced that a trailer for **Exodus**, an action RPG featuring contributions from former **BioWare** writer **Drew Karpyshyn**, will be unveiled during the event.
