The company **Hamster Corporation**, in collaboration with **Bandai Namco**, has **announced** the return of the iconic arcade shooter **Tokyo Wars**. The updated version, titled **Arcade Archives 2: Tokyo Wars**, will be available for Xbox Series, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch 2, while the original **Arcade Archives: Tokyo Wars** will launch on PS4 and Switch. The release date is set for November 6.

The original **Tokyo Wars** debuted in 1996, allowing players to choose sides as either the «Greens» or the «Whites» in their battle for control over Tokyo. Tank battles unfolded on the city streets, with dynamic combat and destructible environments making it one of the most memorable arcade experiences of its time.

The **Arcade Archives** series is renowned for faithfully porting classic arcade games to modern platforms. In this new installment, players will enjoy the original mechanics along with improved features. In addition to the «Original Mode,» which offers flexible settings for difficulty, display, and controls, developers have included a timed mode and a split-screen option.

Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) is also supported, ensuring the visuals and responsiveness closely resemble the original arcade machine. Retro enthusiasts can activate filters that mimic old CRT monitors to fully immerse themselves in the 90s atmosphere.

In **HI SCORE MODE** and **CARAVAN MODE**, players can compete for achievements with users around the globe via online leaderboards.
