Yastremska Withdraws from Cincinnati Third Round Match Against Gauff, Advancing American Without a Fight

The 21st-ranked Ukrainian tennis player **Dayana Yastremska** did not compete in her third-round match against the world’s second-ranked player, American **Coco Gauff**, at the WTA 1000 hardcourt tournament in Cincinnati, USA.

As a result, Gauff advanced to the round of 16 without contention, where she will face the winner of the third-round match between Latvian player **Jelena Ostapenko** and Italian **Lucia Bronzetti**.

Prior to her match against Yastremska, Gauff mentioned that playing against the Ukrainian would be a significant challenge for her.

The tournament in Cincinnati is being held from August 7 to 18. The reigning champion in the women’s singles is the world’s top-ranked Belarusian player, Aryna Sabalenka.
