Yuri Zheledkov Identifies Main Contender for RPL Championship

Veteran of Zenit, **Yuri Zheludkov**, has identified a favorite for the current season of the Russian Premier League.

“It’s more challenging to defend a title than to win it. Right now, ‘Krasnodar’ is performing well. They are the main contender for the championship in the RPL,” Zheludkov stated in an interview with Championship correspondent Nikolai Baranov.

After 15 rounds, ‘Krasnodar’ sits at the top of the RPL standings with 33 points. Following closely behind is CSKA Moscow, also with 33 points, while Zenit rounds out the top three with 30 points.

It’s worth noting that the «bulls» won the Russian championship in the 2024/2025 season, finishing just one point ahead of Zenit.
