Insiders Urge Caution: Upcoming Starfield Patch Not a No Man’s Sky-Style Revival

New leaks have surfaced online regarding an upcoming major update for Starfield, set to launch next year. Excited fans of the game have started drawing parallels between this anticipated patch and the revival seen with No Man’s Sky or Cyberpunk 2077, but the reality is likely more grounded.

According to a report by WindowsCentral, a few weeks ago, Bethesda held an exclusive event to showcase an enhanced version of Starfield, attended by selected journalists, content creators, and modders from the Creation Club. Developers highlighted significant upgrades, including enhancements to the Creation Engine 2.0 and reduced loading times during space travel.

Further insights were shared by prominent streamer and content creator Luke Stephens, who spoke with some of the attendees from Bethesda. According to him, players can look forward to more dynamic flights between planets within the star system. Insiders were quick to add that while the game is sure to improve, players shouldn’t expect anything groundbreaking.

It’s also worth noting that an announcement (and possibly a release) for the second expansion is anticipated next year, along with the launch of new versions for PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2. Currently, Starfield is available on PC (Steam, Microsoft Store) and Xbox Series, including Game Pass. Official localization in Russian is not available.
